Did you know, Fernando, the ABBA single was originally recorded by Anni-Frid ‘Frida’ Lyngstad of that group?

Remembering when we used to dance at the village disco to Needle In A Haystack by the Velvelettes.

I was so pleased that I’d heard Lobo’s ‘I’d Love You To Want me’ on the radio in the car and dug out a copy to play in this show, next week I’ll be including ‘Me And You And A Dog Named Boo’ by the same artist.

My Hidden Talent this week is Capricorn.    A busy 5-piece country music band that travel all along the south of England as far as Norfolk and Cornwall. John Scott, who contacted the show lives in Lymington and the rest of the guys are in Bournemouth. They play mostly in Country Music Clubs, of which there are many tucked away throughout the country.

Three years ago John developed oesophageal cancer and so as a Thank You to Barrett’s Wessex, a charity who’s principal aim is to reduce the number of deaths through this cancer by raising awareness, John and the Band are organising a fund raising  30th Anniversary Dance with proceeds going to the charity.

More information and tickets are available from the bands website www.capricorn-countryband.co.uk

I understand this week’s Eartweaser artist is quoted as saying “Everyone’s asking, ‘Were you alone in the studio?’ Yes, I was alone in the studio’ – and that’s the only clue you’re getting on here 🙂
