I’ve never really thought about the story behind Cat Stevens’ song Father and Son, but evidently it’s about a Russian family where the father doesn’t want his son to join the revolution, preferring him to stay home and work on the farm. I read that Stevens made up the story but it’s influenced by his relationship with his own father ( I don’t know how true that is)<\/p>\n
