This week’s artist was co-star of the original \u201cTrue Grit\u201d,at the behest of star John Wayne, no less!<\/p>\n
He became a touring member with the Beach Boys for a stretch when Brian Wilson first retired from the road in 1964 and his albums include\u00a0Big Bluegrass Special, B<\/strong>urning Bridges and he recorded an album with Bobby Gentry<\/p>\n Latterly he toured with sons Cal and Shannon and daughter Ashley<\/p>\n The documentary that chronicles his battle with Alzheimer\u2019s is available on DVD and is entitled ” I’ll Be Me”<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
